Tiwanaku Tour 1 day – Private Option
Tiwanaku is a ceremonial center constructed about 10000 years ago. Not much is known about this pre-Inca civilization, but Tiwanaku is the greatest archeological pre-Inca site . This is definitely the place to go if you’re interested in South American history!
Description
Pick up from your hotel in the morning by private transport to the site (1 hour and 30 min aprox.) You will visit to the museums, the Temple of Kalasasaya, Gateway of the Sun , Akapana Pyramid and monoliths. Lunch after the visit, free time and return to La Paz. We’ll be visiting Puma Punku (for 20 min), a smaller archeological site, on the way back to La Paz.
The tour takes around 8 hours.
NOTE: It’s possible to do this tour in a shared group on some days.
