Huayna Potosí known for being one of the most beautiful and accessible mountains in Bolivia. It is 6088 meters high (19,973 feet). It is technically easy and recommended for beginners.
Description
Day 1: We pick you up from your hotel at 9:00 in the morning. We start a 2.5 hour trip to the base camp, 4800 m.s.n.m. (15,748 ft) upon arrival we will have lunch and then we will test the equipment and train on the glacier. Previously we will leave the base camp and we will go to the high camp, 5300 m. (17,060 feet above sea level), around 3 hours of walking. We will rest and acclimatize to the altitude.
Day 2: Approximately 1 a.m. m., we will leave the high camp and climb to the top. It will take 4-6 hours to arrive. We will be at the top (6088 m.s.n.m.) at sunrise and we will stay there for a while and enjoy the views. Then we will return to the high camp to have breakfast and rest for about 2 hours. Then we will return to the base camp for lunch and then we will return to La Paz. We will be back in La Paz around 3 p.m.
You must be acclimatized to the altitude of La Paz before doing this climb.
Our guides are very experienced and have been climbing Bolivian mountains for years and have their credentials.
We can rent you whatever you need (sleeping bag, headlamp, etc.)
