Tarija is one of the least visited cities in Bolivia, however, it has many things to offer. It’s the epicenter of wine-making in Bolivia while it also has some unique nature and cultural experiences to offer. We definitely recommend a visit.
Description
WINE TASTING TOUR:
The wine-tasting tour is one of the most appreciated and common tour to do in Tarija.
We pick you up from your hotel in the morning to visit a local vineyard, we’ll try some of the traditional wine from the area. Second visit is to the Casa Real distillery, where we’ll learn how the Bolivian grape liquor Singani is produced. Lastly, we visit Casa Vieja, a 400 year-old house, producer of craft wine, where we’ll have our last wine tasting session.
This tour lasts around 5 hours.
THE COUNTRYSIDE TOUR:
We pick you up in the morning to go to the town of San Lorenzo, where we’ll enter a small museum to learn about local customs and history. After this we’ll head to a nature reserve to enjoy some waterfalls and nature scenery. Lastly, we visit the town of San Jacinto before going back to Tarija.
The tour takes around 5 hours.
THE CITY TOUR:
In this tour you get to learn about the history, culture and beauty of Tarija. You’ll visit 2 museums, various parks, a viewpoint, markets and churches.
