During the colonial era, the mine-worker lifetime was of 6 months. Today most workers normally die within 10 to 15 years after entering the mines. People say that a visit to Bolivia is not complete without a visit to the mines of Cerro Rico , seeing the working conditions in these mines is an experience that will leave you stunned .
At 20:30 p.m the bus leaves from the main bus terminal in La Paz. (The bus is equipped with sleeping style seats)
You will get to Potosi in the morning at 6:00 - 7:00 am. Since there are always delays on bus trips. You need to phone us as soon as you get there. and the guide will come to pick you up from the bus station. From there, we will go to a market where you can buy presents for the miners if you want. (we think that is good, recommended) Then we will go to the mines to visit a mining cooperative. You will get safety equipment; helmet, boots, jacket, pants and flashlight. We enter the mines and then we will be back in Potosi at noon aprox.

You have to be at the bus terminal 30 min before departure 20:00 pm. Mine visits aren’t easy, Low ceilings, small muddy passageways, noxious chemicals and temperatures of up to 45 °C makes this adventure inappropriate for persons with any doubts or medical problems.
